Weekly Photo Challenge: An Unusual POV, #1: The Road Left Behind

This week’s photo challenge asks us to find unusual points-of-view for our photography, to find new ways of seeing our subjects. In The Road Left Behind I tried to reflect on the challenge of finding a new way to express something that must have been expressed a zillion different ways; surely there is no original way to say it – or is there?

The real challenge is in trying to capture the scene without losing the rich colors seen by the naked eye; unfortunately, something is always lost.

This post was prompted by the Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge.

    1. You mean to say that your entry is similar to mine, right? I took this photo on August 31st on the way home from my niece’s birthday party, so it’s just a coincidence. Enjoy the irony – like I said, it’s hard to find something that hasn’t been found before. Just keep on plugging away at it!

          1. 🙂 I’m on the other side of the globe and it’s the middle of the morning for me! Isn’t it coincidental that we took the same shot? Just goes to show that we are all the same!

  1. First of all thanks for all the plingbacks … you made of my entries. This shot is truly excellent .. and love the way you have been thinking outside the box. Very interesting view … on what is left behind, through the car mirror.

Feel free to share your thoughts!
